A black and white symphony

The house was designed for a young couple living in an interesting typology of terraced house apartments, in which each intermediate terrace is split into two units, one on the ground floor, with the upper unit having a direct access from the road. The client occupies the unit on the ground floor.

Inspired by the rich history of pre-war colonial houses in the East Coast area, the design of this home sought to re-define the notion of a black and white house. We curated the furniture collection in the home using a mix of modern classics like the Togo armchair, Thonet 209 chairs and the Flos Frisbi suspension lamp with contemporary pieces, such as the Grillage armchair by Linet Roset and the Nix tables by B&B Italia.
