A floating sanctum that imparts a quiet sense of luxury, privacy and exclusivity.

Living in a faced-paced environment can be exhausting, both physically and emotionally. When in constant motion, many dream of taking a break from the rat race and escaping from reality. Oasis in the Sky was conceived with this in mind — we envisioned a sanctuary for its dwellers to escape to when things get a little too intense. Inspired by the vision of “villas in the sky”, originally conceptualized by the building’s architect, Antonio Citterio, we drew parallels between the concepts of villas and resorts. In both we found a deep desire for relaxation, and a cleansing of the mind and soul. With this notion in mind, we sought to discover how we could bring these qualities to life in a home.

Our design ethos has always been to draw from the elements of nature and Oasis in the Sky is no exception to this. The soft flowing lines of the sculptural staircase is reminiscent of water while the gently curved-edges of the neutral toned sofa seats precisely capture the essence of smooth pebbles. As the lightly sheer curtains billow in the wind, they evoke a sense of being amongst clouds — particularly as the light streams in between its folds. Placed alongside flowing steps and pebble-like furnishings, they form a picturesque landscape, visible to the discerning eye.
