Rethinking conventional design archetypes of sales gallery by imagining the space as a canvas interjected by an eccentric play of color and art

The design inspiration arose from a reaction to the need to create a sales gallery where it deviates from the myriad of Chinese sales galleries that range from the obnoxiously bling to the ubiquitous modern contemporary that is flooding the real estate industry.

Within the interiors, the notion of ‘eccentric play’ occurs, manifested as a palette of bright colours and a curated selection of larger-than-life artwork/sculptures. The design injects into the canvas of spaces pockets of surprises – some surrealistic –, aspiring to challenge the visitors’ imagination.  Experiences about the gallery are fun, almost child-like but not simplistic; subverting the atypical walkthrough experience of a conventional sales gallery.

The architectural concept and inspiration stems from a Chinese poem entitled ”小桥流水人家” –  which describes the familiar and pleasant scenery of a settlement with small bridge over a flowing stream.
